Access to food is a reproductive justice issue. CALL TODAY. ======> @ppadvocatesinky:Indiana's Senate Families and Children Services Committee will discuss SB 11 TODAY! This bill would lift Indiana's current ban on Hoosiers with drug felony convictions accessing SNAP benefits. Opening up food assistance will help families and fight hunger in Indiana. Call the members of the committee TODAY and share your support for SB 11! #INLegis #StandWithHoosiers #Indiana #hunger #SNAP #families #standwithpp #istandwithpp #plannedparenthood #supportfamilies
Our November meeting was ACTION PACKED! We made some calls to senators about the DREAM ACT; wrote postcards to Alabama voters to get them to the polls; learned how to talk to our friends & family about abortions and wrote letters to womxn organizers & union members in Tennessee to congratulate them on their recent victory! We are better together and we are bigger than we realize. Power to the people.
Working towards Reproductive Justice is #hoosierAF so let's do it together. ======> @abortionfunds:@AllOptionsPRC: "Indiana has some of the most restrictive abortion laws in the country, including an 18-hour waiting period, judicial bypass for minors, required prenatal ultrasound, and a ban on telemedicine for medical abortions. When coupled with the Hyde Amendment’s denial of public health insurance for abortion care, the effects on pregnant people in Indiana are catastrophic. The brunt of Hyde is salt in an open wound, disproportionately impacting Hoosiers who already face significant barriers to accessing the health care they need and deserve, including low-income people, communities of color, immigrants, and trans folks." #BeBoldEndHyde
4 Roles of social change Which do you tend to do most? We are ALL needed in strategic movement building. We are so much better together.
Did you know every activist member of @ywtf_lala is a part of a smaller group called a spoke council? Spokes meet once a month in members' homes to dig deeper into our own political education by reflecting on readings and each other's experiences. #tbt to our spoke council convener training, where we learned the #circleway practice to deepen our experience. #therevolutionrequireslearning
