My evening/ day have gone from bad to worse. What was suspected as AF or possibly tachycardia has turned into a blood clot on my lung. Though I’m still tachycardic, AF has been ruled out. Hoping to go hope soon and just take it easy on blood thinners. But who knows. To add to my list my potassium levels are dangerously low!! Oh the pleasures of being ill and chronically ill at the same time 😫🙁 #tachycardia

:: Feel Good Friday :: 😊💗🕉 Happy Friday Everyone! Last night I reorganized my overstuffed medical binder in preparation for a last minute endocrinologist appointment. I'm so thankful the kind staff kept me in mind on their cancellation list! ……………………………………………………………… It's bittersweet to look back at things in my medical history. I easily become filled with anger and resentment for: how long doctors let my symptoms go untreated, how many doctors ignored the same abnormal results or lied about them being meaningless, and how many doctors have creatively called me a hypochondriac. ……………………………………………………………… 📢😉 It's still Capricorn season so here's a little realist blurb: Sometimes I can't help but to think that part of the reason I'm mistreated or receive substandard treatment has to do with me belonging to our most socially oppressed demographic. Rather people want to acknowledge it or not we are all treated differently based on the multifaceted aspects of our identity. 🤷🏽‍♀️Not always directly, but doctors automatically make dozens of assumptions about you based simply off what you look like. I've tried to turn this into a positive and let it motivate me to begin self-healing and educate myself on my medical conditions. ……………………………………………………………… On a more positive note, I have been looking forward to seeing an endocrinologist. I had a hard time getting into other places so I'm very grateful to have this appointment. Since a rheumatologist discovered my Hashimoto's disease I wasn't told anything other than to see an endocrinologist (🙄 American Healthcare Bureaucracy) and honestly have been anxiously waiting to get more answers.

PLEASE PLEASE TAKE A FEW MINUTES AND READ! YOU COULD HELP SOMEONE! -For a very long time this has been bugging and disturbing me. Every time I think about people who suffer from mental illnesses but have no clue of what it is and have no one to tell them they are suffering from a mental disorder. -Come to think of it why do people kill them selves? Why do people really commit suicide? Isn’t that something disturbing and questionable? -Do you think it’s because they don’t like their lives? Or because they just feel like taking away their lives? NO! it’s because they were going through something and nobody could help them! They had no one that could understand what they were going through! -They could be going through depression, anxiety, GAD, bipolar disorder etc but because when ever they complain about something disturbing them they never got any medical help! -But rather they were judged! “You don’t pray a lot that’s why something is worrying you” YES! prayer helps but so does medical help! -It’s 2018 people! We’ve got to do better! Let’s help each other! Start listening to your friends and family! Know their problems! Even if they don’t tell you atleast they know someone cares about them! -That could ease what’s worrying anyone going through trough time! You never know! -It’s high time we educate ourselves on MENTAL ILLNESSES! YES, ITS REAL. YES, WE ALL GO THROUGH ROUGH TIMES! YES, ITS OK NOT TO BE OK! BUT WHEN ITS TOO MUCH! SEEK FOR HELP PLEASE! MENTAL HEALTH IS NOT MADNESS! MENTAL HEALTH IS NOT ALWAYS JAZZ! MENTAL HEALTH IS NOT ALWAYS SPIRITUAL! -LETS STOP JUDGING AND START HELPING! -If you need to talk! Feel free to DM! I am no professional but I could help with moral support! #tachycardia

:: Primary Care Appointment :: 🤒👩‍⚕️💼 Last week, I made a well overdue visit to a general practitioner. I technically don't have a primary care doctor. I just have someone who acts as one on paper. Who unfortunately is away until February. So went to my old doctors office and saw a new doctor. I dislike how it still feels impersonal like an urgent care. Which is part of why I had an disagreement a couple years ago. ……………………………………………………………… My ongoing fatigue was the catalyst for finally seeking help since infusion therapy hasn't helped much. I've noticed my labs have been slightly anemia for months. And, I haven't shared this, but the testing my rheumatologist did came back positive for Hashimoto's Disease (autoimmune thyroid disease). ……………………………………………………………… The results from the labs and ultrasound still indicate that nothing is wrong with my thyroid! My iron levels were a little low. Which is always frustrating because I have to take multiple prescription supplements and make the effort to juice and eat tons of veggies & fruits. 🙄Part of the issue is having an inflammatory bowel disease I can't properly absorb and metabolize vitamins. So this is something I hope an endocrinologist can offer more insight on.

Still downpouring, gotta love rainy Oregon! Nym's been doing great at item retrieval training recently. I'm often not able to safely bend down, so he's learning to pick up and hand me his leash when it's dropped. Sometimes the goof gets overexcited and flings it at me repeatedly until it's in my hand, but it's progress 😂

Today was odd. I woke up and did school as per the usual but then Nicole and I went grocery shopping. We had a very difficult time at the grocery store. People were distracting Pippi, Nicole's service dog, and trying to grab at her and one lady even called someone on the phone to tell her there was a dog in the store and then proceeded to describe what me, Nicole and Pippi looked like which made us extremely uncomfortable. A woman and her children followed us around the store while we shopped and just talked to Pippi the whole time and even when we told her to stop she didnt. It exhausted me quickly because I hadn't brought my wheelchair either so I spent an hour on my feet while trying to avoid rude people and actually get what I went for. But we ended the day by chasing the sunset and honestly, it was so worth it. I'm ready to sleep now. . . .
